A truly magical substance that turns everyday people into incredible beings with a can do attitude, where nothing is impossible, with coffee.
OK, a little over the top, maybe,
but like all good things in life for some of us this is as good as chocolate or almost anything else you can think of.
On Friday 27th September we are holding our first coffee day event.
Working with the Compass Group (maybe the most important people at the University of Tasmania), as they supply all of the coffee for students, staff and visitors. We are combining to support International Coffee Day 2019.
PLEASE JOIN US FROM 12:30pm at the GROVE CAFE
We know you want to know more so please keep reading.
The future of your cup of coffee is in jeopardy. Due to a dramatic decline in coffee prices – the lowest in 15 years – millions of coffee farmers no longer make enough to live on or to support their families. Independent research shows that growers receive the equivalent of just one cent from a US$3 cup of coffee. Imagine going to work every day and not earning enough to eat and cover basic needs, such as food, healthcare and education. If things don’t change, farmers will be forced to abandon coffee plantations and migrate to urban areas or abroad, just to survive.
But there is something you can do to help.
Act now, sign the #coffeepledge.
